KLM Studio is a network of independent professional photographers. We don't sell packages: we find the right person for each job.
Where we come from
KLM Studio started behind the camera, in the field: university galas in Trois-Rivières and Montreal, graduation ceremonies, airsoft events, shoots for car dealerships, restaurants and a craft brewery. Job after job, one thing became obvious: no single photographer can do everything at the highest level, or be everywhere. An automotive specialist is not a concert specialist, and a client in Saguenay shouldn't pay a Montreal photographer's travel.
What KLM Studio became
A network that connects every client with the most relevant photographer for their job. KLM Studio is part of KLM Group International, a group that also runs web services and international sourcing businesses. That structure lets the network grow beyond its home market, across Canada, the United States and Europe.
How we choose photographers
Each photographer is assessed on a portfolio in their actual specialty, not a generalist one. We look at consistency across a full gallery rather than the ten best frames, retouching quality, reliability on deadlines and how they communicate with clients. Photographers keep their own businesses: they aren't our employees, which means they are established, equipped and insured in their own name.
What we don't do
We don't resell shoots under our own name at a markup, we don't set photographers' rates and we don't touch the payment between you and them. Our role starts with your request and ends once you've found the right person, with a delivery gallery and follow-up if you need it.
